You can Upload Documents onto your client's file here. There are 3 ways to Upload a Document to a return:
- Upload a document via your current device in use
- Upload a document via your mobile phone (Mobile Invite sent by text)
- Upload a document via your client's mobile phone (Mobile Invite sent by text)

Please note: Uploaded documents will not be sent to the IRS.
To Upload a document via your current device:
1) Once signed in to your ProTaxPro.com account, select Enter Return on the return you would like to upload a document to
2) Select Upload Documents on the Navigation page
3) Select + Upload a new document
4) Add a Document Title (Ex: 1099-R, or SP 1099-B) and select a Document Location by clicking Choose File
The Document Title will be the document's identifying name
5) Once the document has been uploaded, click Continue
To Upload a document via your mobile phone:
1) Once signed in to your ProTaxPro.com account, select Enter Return on the return you would like to upload a document to
2) Select Upload Documents on the Navigation page
3) Select Send me a Mobile Invite
*Ensure that the Mobile Phone Number displayed, in the text below Send me a Mobile Invite, is accurate
4) You will receive a mobile text message with a link to Upload the Document from your phone
5) Once the document has been uploaded, you can view it by clicking Print Completed Forms and Documents from the Navigation Page
To Upload a document via your client's phone:
1) Once signed in to your ProTaxPro.com account, select Enter Return on the return you would like to upload a document to
2) Select Upload Documents on the Navigation page
3) Select Send [Client's Name] a Mobile Invite
If you do not see this option, this indicates a Mobile Phone number is missing from the Contact Information Page
This is not currently available for Spouse
4) Your client will receive a text with a Mobile Invite link requiring them to verify the last 6-digits of SSN before uploading.
5) Once the document has been uploaded, you can view it by clicking Print Completed Forms and Documents from the Navigation Page
Common Troubleshooting:

"I (or my client) am not receiving the Mobile Invite text"
- Tax Preparer: Ensure the Mobile Phone entered on the Login & Password page of your account settings is correct
- Client: Ensure the Mobile Phone entered on the Contact Information is accurate
- Text "START" to 805.256.1788 and/or 805.256.1791

"The document is not being accepted"
- Only PDF documents are accepted
- There is a size limit of 50 Mb, please ensure the document meets this limit
